I'm Lovin' the Oven

I got the Ñuke oven from BBQ Guys last March. It is now late October. I've cooked all sorts of things in it from pizzas to pot roasts. In fact if you acquire two pizza stones you can cook three pizzas at once. One on the bottom and one one each of the two racks with a stone on them. I've done it works great. I be plan to cook a thanksgiving turkey in it next month.

What an Oven!

This is my first Nuke oven and it has not disappointed. The overall design is nice and functional. The handles of the cooking chamber and fuel chamber are removable which adds a bit of safety, as it can get very hot, but take a little getting use to. The fuel chamber is larger than expected and you can put enough fuel in it to cook for serveral hours without opening. In addition, the air venting slide provides for good tempertaure controll and air flow. It takes 30-45 minutes to get the oven up to temperature to cook. Once your desired temperarture is reached it is easlily maintained. Now for the fun part cooking. A 14" pizza was the first into the oven and to quote "Had I not known where the pizza was made I would have thought it came from a high end pizza restaurant" so enough said. Pizza after pizza same result crispy and delicious! This oven has plenty of space and is able to maintain and retain heat with little effort and is very well vented on both chambers. There are a few things that need some changes. First the cover SUCKS! It is not designed to cover the oven while it is on the cart, if you get it, let alone just the oven without the stack on. It should cover the oven and cart with the stack removed or you would need to be 10" tall to be able to put the cover on. Next I would say needs improvemnt is the placement of the temperature gauge. Since the gauge is on the door of the cooking chamber it does not give a truely accurate picture of the temperature in the oven. Lastly if you live in a windy area you need to add a cap to the chimney to avoid a backdraft into the oven. Overall, I belive this oven is well worth the minimal investment and will not disappoint. I have been quite impressed with it and the Nuke product. It's a 4.5 of 5

Jury is still out on this unit

Product seems sturdy and durable. It is just a little disappointing to have the temperature gauge broken after first use. It discolored as well. Included cover does not fit over the cart, therefore its all bunched up. I hope the customer service comes as quick as this unit arrived.

Hi CH. Nuke includes the flue for the Nuke 60 oven, but not the chimney cap. The Nuke 60 uses a 4 inch flue. Both the chimney cap and any additional flue pipe can be obtained through a local fireplace dealer.

Does the smoke interact with the food at all or is this two completely different compartments between the fire box and food area?

Hi TD. The Nuke Oven has separate combustion and cooking spaces. Any smoke produced from combustion is channeled out without much contact with the cooking space.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
