Love the Bull

Built this Brahma into my outside kitchen and it along with the twin side burner is the perfect combination. It is built solid and the burners have some weight to them and the cooking that I have done so far are very even. The lights inside are the perfect set up as well and the Rotisserie is great as well. Very well liked by the company that comes over for the backyard bbq's.

Overall a great grill!

I've had mine for 3 years now and love it. It cooks evenly and it's easy to control the temperature. I love the rotisserie and the ir! My only beef 😁 is that the the stainless steel sometimes gets stains that are nearly impossible to remove without scratching.

The Opposite of Good

This is the worst grill I've every owned. Previous Weber and CharBroil models cooked better. This grill infuriates me every time I use it. It cooks extremely unevenly. There are regular flare ups, extreme hot spots, cold spots, and dead areas. It is adversely affected by wind. Even a slight wind will impact the flames making the uneven heat even worse. The knobs get extremely hot, especially when it's windy. They get so hot you can't touch them which makes me wonder if it's going to blow up. Burner levels seem to fluctuate over time. After spending time to adjust the flame/temperature it will be completely different when checked five minutes later. At this point I consider this a complete waste of money.

The Skinny:

  • Reputable brand name
  • Bull's highest quality model
  • Simple & reliable ignition system
  • All stainless steel construction
  • Cast stainless burners
  • Even heat distribution

Things We Love:

Bull's highest quality grills include Angus, Brahma, and Diablo models. Bull started building great grills in the nineties and have been going strong ever since! They make a well built, good cooking grill at a good price point, and they have become a popular centerpiece for many outdoor kitchens across the country.

From a durability perspective, I like the commercial grade 304 stainless steel exterior housing and cooking grids, both backed by a lifetime warranty. The hood is made from a thick 14 gauge 304 stainless steel that is sturdy and great for heat retention. As for how it cooks, Bull's ReliaBULL technology provides these grills with preforated stainless steel flame tamers that spread the heat evenly to reduce hot and cold spots, while improving the heat intensity of the grill. Bull uses a simple, but reliable, piezo powered, flame thrower ignition system. I really like that this system doesn’t need batteries that eventually wear out and have to be replaced.

While not all Bull gas grills are same, their Angus, Brahma, and Diablo models stand above their other models in terms of features and quality components. For starters, these models are powered by heavy duty cast stainless steel burners, backed by a lifetime warranty. Also, these models come standard with a rear infrared burner and rotisserie kit, and interior lights which makes it easier for nighttime grilling. The Angus is a 4 burner model and the Brahma is a larger 5 burner model. The standout of the group though is the Diablo. The 6 burner Bull Diablo Grill features 105,000 BTU's of power, and 1564 square inches of total cooking area. This is definitely an impressive model for the price.

Thing To Consider:

While the Bull warranty is strong on the housing, cooking grids and burners, the flame tamers are only backed by a 3 year warranty and the valves are only backed by a 1 year warranty.

You'll Like This Grill If:

You want the highest quality gas grill made by Bull, a good company that's been around for a while.

Question:
How big are the mounting lips / tabs for the grill? My rough opening is 39" x 24" x 10"; will the Brahma fit this opening?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Jeff! The cutout dimensions for this grill are 38 1/2" W x 24 1/8" D x 12 1/4" H, so it won't fit prefectly in the dimensions you have unless you shave off a few inches for the depth and height.

Question:
Does this grill require an electrical outlet to be plug into OR just into gas line?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Rick. The grill does not require an electrical outlet to grill alone, just the gas. However the lights, rotisserie, and any other electrical components require a power outlet.

Question:
when you install how much clearance in the back for lid to open do you need?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Jim, there must at least 6 inches of counter space behind the grill to allow the hood to clear properly.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
