Made in the USA from 304 stainless steel, the 36-Inch ARTP-36-LP built-in propane gas grill features a seamless welded double-walled hood for exceptional heat retention, as well as a full length handle and an easy-open spring-assisted system. Three stainless steel tube U-burners each produce 20,000 BTUs, which evenly distribute high heat across the cooking surface. Electrical wires and connectors are also encapsulated with heat-resistant silicone, making the 110v electrical ignition system fast and reliable, while fully-adjustable brass valves ensure precision flame control. The 15,000 BTU ceramic rear infrared burner coupled with the heavy-duty rotisserie motor ensure smooth turning and consistent heating for perfectly rotissed foods. The stainless steel cooking grates are durable and easy to clean, and the dual-position warming rack lifts up and out of the way when not in use for additional workspace. Providing protection from the elements and helping maintain the beauty of your grill, the control panel is recessed, keeping chrome knobs and switches out of the way. 3 Years and 0 ProblemsWe bought the Artisan Professional 36 inch grill to replace a 20 year old built-in. It fit our existing brick enclosure perfectly. I've been very pleased with the workmanship and performance of the grill. The 110V electric ignition is reliable and convenient. Gets plenty hot to sear affectively, and temperature control is easy. I like using the infrared rotisserie burner as a broiler to brown the top of pizzas. As long as I keep it clean (which is easy to do), it still looks new despite being outside year round in Colorado with very frequent use. Looks and performs like a much more expensive unit, and I like that it is built in the USA. (Good luck getting parts for grills made in China.) | Was This Helpful? | |
Incredibly unhappyAlthough I think the grill is well made, I 100% agree with other reviewers that no matter what the the temperature setting is, the flare-ups are unmanageable. The barbecue runs really hot and the briquettes are too close the grill. There's no such thing as leaving whatever product you're grilling unattended on low to slow cook because the flare-ups happened so fast. Cannot Recommend this Grill at AllI have never had a grill that flares up like this. Whether low, medium, or high heat -- it doesn't matter. Any meat or vegetable, whether it drips fat/grease or not, just immediately catches fire and ignites. The stones are so close to the grill grates and run so hot, they just ignite and instantly catch everything on fire. Unless you are cooking on indirect heat with one of the 3 burners completely off, the grill is useless. It's a shame as the build quality is great, the look/design is great, starter and lights all great. But for the most important part -- the cooking -- it's a disaster. Never againEvery time I use this grill with any type of meat that has drippings the entire grill catches on fire. The problem is the briquettes gets so hot and they are too close to the cooking. Artisan grills feature a retro-classic design that many of our customers love and is built right here in the USA. The grill is constructed of durable 304 grade stainless steel and has a hood that is easy to open, spring-assisted and double lined with seamless welds and polished edges for an attractive look. This type of hood design also adds a lot of durability to the grill because the extra layer protects the hood from discoloration from high heat (it’s basically double insulated, which helps retain heat well).
Artisan has some of the most powerful burners found with grills in this price range. The stainless steel burners are "u-shaped", featuring two rows of burner ports for each burner. This not only produces high heat, but also ensures a more even heat across the grill's surface.
Artisan offers two grill series, American Eagle and the Professional series. Artisan American Eagle series includes all of the same features mentioned above and is available in a 32-inch and 26-inch model.
If you want to add more bang for your buck, the Artisan Professional series gas grill gives you a few extra features. The grill is available in 36-inch and 32-inch, and features attractive LED control panel lights and internal halogen grill lights, which is both attractive and convenient in low-light conditions. The grill also includes a rear infrared burner and rotisserie kit.
Things to Consider:
Artisan grills are backed by a 10 year warranty for all stainless steel grill parts and 15 years on the burners. The flame tamers are covered for 3 years. All other grill components, including igniters are covered for 1 year from the date of purchase.
