The temperature control on this smoker is amazingThis smoker hold the set temperature within one or two degrees continuously. When set on smoke, it smokes profusely just like you want it to and then quickly heats up to cooking temperature when you call up your cooking temp. So much better than my old pellet smoker. Excellent grill and smoker in one packageI've owned this grill for 3 months and have had the best results with steaks, brisket, ribs, and chicken. This is my 3rd pellet grill in 15 years and it makes the other 2 look really bad. It gets extremely hot to sear steaks and burgers and has an excellent heat distribution to avoid hot spots when smoking. The controller adjusts fan speed, auger speed, and temperature better than the Traeger and Pit Boss do. It also heats up quickly going from smoke to high temp so you can presmoke things you typically just grill. I highly recommend this product! | Was This Helpful? | |
Pros and Cons but overall recommendPros: - Great heat control. Heaviness of metal holds heat well - Great smoke compared to other brands my friends have = great barks - Great customer support. My circuit board went out and they had a new one to me in 2 weeks Cons: - Don't count on the WiFi. It's janky at best - circuit board went out after less than a year - It's a smoker. Not built to lastI originally purchased a GMG Daniel Boone several years ago and it worked great. So, when I wanted to get a new grill I went right back to it and purchased a GMG Ledge. I purchased it in Sept of 2022. I loved the addition of the rotisserie. The grill smoked great and gave great flavor. The addition of the inside lights and the front window was a waste as they become worthless after a few smokes. The worst part was that in less the 2 years, the auger motor went out and I purchased a new one to replace it. I got one more grill out of it and then the motherboard went out. I just don't find the same quality in the new one as I did the older one. I am disappointed it the Ledge and feel that it is time to move on to a different make. | Was This Helpful? | |

AwfulA Green Mountain pellet grill is the worst money I ever spent. Had to be cleaned every time or it won't successfully start up and reach temp. Runs super hot at the surface- long smokes like brisket get burnt on the bottom even with a rack. Weird power cord that had to be replaced right away. I would not buy any thing from this company again ,Grill works great except for app and the amount of rust it has developed ! I read this before I purchased it but I though it may have been from neglect . I was wrong ! After a few months it started to rust under the paint . I am very well versed when it comes to metal and its refinishing . In my opinion the steel that was used is low quality or recycled ! Also not prepped or painted correctly . Another sign of poor workman ship is any emblem or logo on the grill was not installed correctly . I completely cleaned this grill after every use and followed their maintenance instructions over and above ! I enclosed a few photos when the grill started showing signs of rust at six months old . I wanted to really love this product . I am so disappointed ! The images I shared are of the first signs of rust the grill is a total rust bucket as of now !
