Why did I wait this long to get a nice grill ?

Amazing grill!! Built heavily, even heat, holds heat well, even the thermometer is accurate. Killer looks, all my friends and relatives are impressed. As for me I am 70 years old, have probably owned 20 $300 to $500 dollar grills in my life, some of which I really liked, but none even comes close to this thing. Don't be like me and be so cheap that you wait till you are 70 to get one ! No way you will regret this purchase.

Daves Prestige® 500 RSIB

The Prestige® 500 RSIB works awesome! Super easy to start each burner and regulate the temperature. I am very impressed with the short time it takes to heat up (500+ degrees) and the even cooking throughout the entire grill. I had another popular brand for many years that I thought worked well but the Prestige® 500 RSIB is waaaayyy better.

Great grill.

Best grill I ever owned. Heats well and maintains that heat really real. Longevity will be key but so far I'm liking it. Pretty happy with my purchase.

A grill that will last!!

I love this grill so much. It has great heat output, even cooking and great temperature control. I have had the grill for 2 years at this point, and I have loved every minute of it. I give it an annual deep clean and it looks like new every time.

Prestige 500 RSIB

Very good grill so far. This Prestige 500 RSIB is replacing a 25 year old MHP grill. I hope this new one lasts as long. I really like how quickly it heats up. It seems to heat evenly across the grill surface. I haven't had a chance to use the rotisserie. I like the size of the cooking area and the four burners give great control over heat. the only disappointment is the cabinet it is not stainless steel. The advertisement is a stainless steel grill but the lower cabinet is not. Other than that I do like it overall

Versital grill that can do it all

Still experimenting. Everything is working as advertised. Side burner is awesome, charcoal tray gives a great cook, smoker box works well. I've cooked burgers and steak - seared to perfection. Smoked Baby Back Ribs and a pork shoulder is in the fridge now. Can't wait to use the rotisserie and wing basket.

Question:
What size quick connect is used?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi David. The Napoleon is 10 feet long with 3/8 inch fittings. Please keep in mind that all natural gas connections should be completed by a licensed professional.

Question:
Can I replace the included natural gas hose with a longer one?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Joe. Any hose longer than the 10-foot hose that was included will have an affect on the performance of the grill. We would not suggest it, nor would Napoleon.

Question:
hi im considering the napoleon prestige 500 rsib grill cart and was wondering if its possible to remove the head from the grill cart and install it into a countertop? currently i am in the process of building an outdoor kitchen area and would like to use the grill cart meanwhile and then remove the head when the kitchen countertop is done and install it

Hi Duben96. The Napoleon Prestige 500 is a great choice, but the grill head is not removeable from the cart.

This question was asked on a different product configuration.

Answer:
Hi: I had the very same issue two years ago. Except, I had already purchased the grill and then decided to do a built-in kitchen. I talked to Napoleon's technical people directly and they told me under no uncertain terms that the cart units are not engineered to be built-in. If built-in it would over head and burn up the wiring/electronics. I believe they do have a top that can be built in, but the cart version is not the one. I ended up having our contractor just make a space for the grill and that is just fine. Air can circulate all around the unit and it has not had any heat problems in the 2 years that we have used it. Also, I can pull the unit out to clean it and clean behind it and this is handy. I really ended up not missing built-in option. I did take one of the "table wings" off so it was more compact in the space. Hope this helps...

Asked by duben96Answered by jmgolenor

This question was asked on a different product configuration.

Answer:
I would not recommend that with this grill. There are units made specifically for that purpose, which would probably make more sense. There is an installation video on the Napoleon  website with step by step instructions. I would watch that to see what you would be getting into.John  "No man's life, liberty, or property are safe when the legislature is in session!" - Gideon J. Tucker 1866 "I cook with wine. Answer:
Hi Tim. You can definitely add wood chips or chunks to the charcoal tray. If you are intending to cook over the charcoal tray, I wouldn't recommend replacing the charcoal with wood chips, just add chips to the charcoal.

Question:
What is the grade of stainless steel used in the frame/cabinet, lid, and shelves of this grill? Also, in comparison to the black/ gray version of this same grill, which should have greater longevity and be easier to maintain?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hello Ryan, The lid of the grill is made with 304 Stainless steel. The cart is made from Powder coated galvanized stainless and the shelves are made with 430 stainless steel. The main difference is that the black model has a porcelain coated steel exterior, which may chip with time and use. The stainless steel model is more durable.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
