Absurd value, great board, gorgeous tooAn insanely valuable end grain board. It's challenging to find square end grain of a good thickness, I ended up buying this after finding 20x20x2in impossible to find. I compromised on all the dimensions for this 18x18x3 and I couldn't be happier. First, it truly hides cuts very well. I've been using it constantly for two weeks as my main cutting surface for everyone in the house. Second, it looks great. Everyone I have had over has commented on it. Yea Teak is softer and cheaper but this Maple is so eye catching and unique. It's deep and colorful. Third, I strongly suggest taking some 400 grit sandpaper to it and really smoothing it out. It's just fine stock but a little elbow grease and it's buttery smooth. I also thought the handles would be useless but they are very helpful especially when you're treating the board. I would suggest this to anyone with ample counter space especially at this price with free (and very fast) shipping and handling. It's great in your knives, even lasers. It is a joy to cut on. It takes oil and wax extremely well and it's a steal at this price point. Lastly, while I didn't have any issues I did deal with customer service, which was extremely simple and expedited. 10/10 would reach out to Ashley again. | Was This Helpful? |
