The stainless steel body housing is warrantied to be free from defects in material and workmanship when subjected to normal residential use and service for five (5) years and all other parts for one (1) year from date of purchase. When installed in a commercial setting such as apartment buildings, restaurants, golf clubs and food service locations has a ninety (90) day warranty. This warranty excludes surface corrosion, scratches, and discoloration which may occur during regular use. This warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective parts, with the owner paying all other costs including labor and shipping.

3 of 4 Working - HORRIBLE WARRANTY

Be wary of Lynx - I spent over $10,000 on outdoor heaters around COVID. Ordered 4 of their 48" outdoor gas heaters for my patio remodel and 1 has been an issue since I received it. I'm officially out of the warranty period and despite numerous calls to fix the same heater, they are making me pay for the fix despite it not being fixed on prior calls. I'm very disappointed by the customer care - only 1 heater is giving me an issue and they are offering me just a 30% discount on any parts needed to be fixed (so pay 70% for the parts and any labor costs). For this reason, I would advise looking at alternate manufacturers for your outdoor needs - Blaze has been amazing with their grills and outdoor refrigerators. I thought Lynx was high-end, but their customer care is not. You may be stuck with the same issue.

Lots of problems, customer support lacking

This product was on back order for like 4 months, but when I finally got it it had the wrong parts (machine screws to hold bracket together were too small, fixed by getting longer ones from hardware store, plus the DC adapter was the wrong one) and broken parts (the wireless wall switch). I got it mounted after a trip to the hardware store and added batteries to it to get it to light. Luckily it came with 2 remotes since one was broken and when I got it to start up, it shut off after 30 minutes. And when it shuts off the flames lick out to the side, partially melting the battery box. I contacted customer support who sent me a new wall switch but apparently the DC adapter is on back order. I was told the wiring inside it was wrong and to swap some wires around, but it made no difference. Still shuts down after 30 minutes. Now I can't get customer support to respond. I'd prefer to just have a working heater but this one is more trouble than it's worth! Look for other options - the quality is not there in this heater.

No it cannot, this heater should be used outdoors only and never in any type of enclosed area.

Question:
I'm thinking of adding a couple of these to my new patio. I would like the power supply wired to a timer switch on the wall to eliminate the possibility of leaving them on overnight. If the timer switch kills power to the outlet will the heater shut off? Didn't know if the gas flow will keep heater running. Thanks Erik

Hi Erik, this unit comes with a digital controller with a built-in timer and the option to program the desired times and days of the week you want the heaters to be in operation.
