Great Grill

Excellent grill, we upgraded from an outdated grill model, and couldn't be happier. We LOVE it!

Love this grill. Required a little bit of learning.

Things I love: - Extremely well built - Heats up fast - Externally accessible smoker tray with dedicated smoker burner - Strong hidden-chain rotisserie - Electropolished grill grates (including the warming rack and the rotisserie spit, I believe) make it really easy to keep clean - Extra-large warming rack holds full-sized platters, full racks of ribs, and is truly usable as additional cooking surface - Even when cooking on lower settings, drippings never sem to make it down to the drip tray so that stays clean Things that took some getting used to: - The back of the grill is significantly hotter because the burners are U-shaped. No big deal now that I know consistency of temperature is left to right not front to back. - The grill gets much hotter than any other grill I've used. My old Weber was operated on High most of the time but this is only on High when I'm heating it up. - Can be prone to flareups when too hot. This took the most to get used to. When set just right, the drippings smoke nicely infusing taste into the food. Let it get too hot and the drippings will flare up. The downside to the lower setting though is that drippings seem to accumulate on the ceramic briquetes so you have burn it off after you are done cooking or during warm up next time.

Great grill! We love it!

Grill heats up fast, is easy to control and built heavy duty. Have used it a couple times a week since we got it. Everything we cook on it turns out great! I would recommend this grill to anyone!

I would look to buy another brand

I bought this grill at the end of last season. I'm an experienced cook/griller and I noticed this grill runs way too hot. With the burners set to low, your pushing 550 degrees which was the max on my old weber. Flare ups are insane on this grill. My friends have alternative brands that are professional grade and that problem doesn't exist. It's been well over a month or more with 2 trips from an outsourced appliance repair company. The kid was taking things apart and I asked him to look into the regulator and boom, the regulator says Liquid propane (LP) and I ordered a NG grill. This is what's been causing this. So basically for close to a year, my grill has taken a beating running excessively hot. What I'm more concerned about is there's other orafaces I believe and I worry that this is in total a LP grill, not a NG. I feel the company should send their local rep out. This is a HUGE investment and unacceptable from a supposed American company. In addition, I NEVER GOT MY REBATE CHECK. I believe from the amount I purchased I was due $400. It's been so long I don't even remember, but I filled out the proper forms.......I'm extremely disappointed and considering calling my cc company. My advice is BUY ANOTHER BRAND

Not what I expected from a high end grill

I've used the grill a handful of times to cook chicken and shrimp. It is extremely smoky and when you open the cover to turn meat, etc I'm in a cloud of smoke. Checked burns good, cleaned grill ceramics, still smoke. Don't know what to do next but disappointed with this purchase.

The Skinny:

  • Restaurant inspired, top-notch quality
  • Clean, polished look with LED lights
  • Incredible performance and versatility
  • Made in the USA

Things We Love:

The Alfresco ALXE grill is designed for the entertainer or culinarian who appreciates quality, versatility, performance and style.

Featuring true commercial-quality construction and performance, this restaurant-inspired grill is extremely versatile and made to cook. It all starts with their high 18-SR stainless steel high performance Accufire™ main burners, which are fully utilized due to the airtight construction of the grill's firebox, and the optional restaurant-quality infrared Sear Zone™ that sears around 1600°F.

Above the stainless steel burners sit the ceramic briquettes, which have concave backs for very even heat distribution, whether you're on low heat or high. The ceramic briquette trays also lock into place, and they can be flipped over for easy cleaning. For bonus flavor, take advantage of the Signature Taste™ integrated smoker system with dedicated burner and drawer for wood chunks. The smoker box works well with aromatics or liquids and rests under the ceramic briquettes, allowing the smoke to engulf your food for maximum flavor enhancement.

Standing further out from the competition is the motor of the Integrated Mega-Drive™ rotisserie system with infrared burner — on the Alfresco ALXE, it's completely built-in and hidden from sight. The chain-driven rotisserie can smoothly turn as much as 120 lbs. of prime rib, whole chickens, ribs, and much more.

With its polished stainless steel and amber LED lights above the knobs (that stay cool to the touch because of the innovative air-cooled front control panel), this American-made grill has a stand-out stylish appearance. From the spring lid assist with a 20-year high-heat lubricant to the versatile accessory options, this grill has everything you need for truly luxurious cooking.

You can be confident in Alfresco, which offers one of the best warranties in the industry, offering a lifetime warranty on the grills stainless steel components and burners, along with the Freedom Warranty which covers all parts and repairs for a full 2 years.

Things To Consider:

While Alfresco's infrared Sear Zone™ produces an extreme amount of heat, it doesn't offer much of a low turn down when cooking food that requires a low temperature.

You'll Like This Grill If:

You want a top-of-the-line commercial quality grill that is built to perform with the professional in mind.

Question:
Does this grill require an electrical outlet to be plug into OR just into gas line?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hey Peter! It does not require that you have an outlet, but it does have the option for the rotisserie use for the cord. I will attach the manual for you. This grill however is just for gas use. Hope this information! cdn.shocho.co/sc-specsheets/ALXE%20Care%20and%20Use%20Manual.pdf

Question:
what size air vent is needed in rear wall of built in unit
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Great question! Proper ventilation is more about placement and spacing than the size of the vent panels. You'll want vent panels every 4 to 6 feet, with 2 of them directly behind the grill. Natural gas rises, so you'll want your vents as high up as possible on your island. If you choose propane, the vents will need to be at the bottom, since propane sinks.

Free Shipping on orders over $49

Ship your entire order to your home for free, especially the big stuff! *Continental US only

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
