Update on my previous review. 👍🏻I just wanted wanted to mention that I've been using the oak wood and Qwik Wik fire starters with my Ooni Karu 12 pizza oven. I initially thought it might be a bit pricey but I have found that it is actually very cost-effective. It takes so little wood to get the pizza oven nice and hot and maintain the heat. I've had no problems whatsoever with the pizza oven. It is consistently great from tge very first use. When I eventually run out of wood I will be buying more from BBQ Guys. Great buy!I use my Ooni Karu 12 pizza oven when I have friends and family over. I use wood for fuel. The oven cooks a pizza in about two minutes or less so we get one person shaping the crusts while one tops the pizzas and one person is in charge of cooking and turning the pizzas. It works great. Heats up in about 20 minutes. It's easy to manage the flame and keep the fire going. The included instructions and recipes are great. It's been consistently great. | Was This Helpful? | |

| It does everything that was promisedWe purchased the Ooni Karu 12 with the optional, propane burner. The oven was simple to assemble, including the propane burner. We first used the oven with the propane burner, and had no issues whatsoever. Our first pizzas were actually pretty good. We then converted the oven back to wood-burning, and were amazed at the temperature we were able to achieve. Using our own oak firewood, we got the interior temperature to 461 degrees Celsius, As a result, our pizzas cooked in less than two minutes. We did not ruin any pizzas despite our inexperience with the oven. With more experience, we will be producing a much superior product I am sure. | Was This Helpful? |
