This high performance PGS Legacy Pacifica Gourmet 39-Inch Gas Grill has a generous 720 square inches of main cooking area and features a high-quality 304 stainless steel exterior, three high output stainless steel 25,000 BTU heavy-duty Enterprise burners that push 75,000 BTUs of total cooking power on the grilling surface, unique cross-lighting for fast and safe ignition. The Pacifica Gourmet Series comes with a 14,000 BTU ceramic infrared rear burner, a heavy duty rotisserie motor, spit rod, and counter balance capable of supporting up to 15 lbs. Only PGS offers a uniquely positioned commercial grade heat indicator that is mounted on the right side of the grill next to the cooking grids to give you an accurate indication of the heat at the actual cooking surface. The control panel is angled for easy reading of the control knobs. The control knobs have heat resistant phenolic inserts for added safety. PGS Pacifica grills have unique Moon Rok all ceramic briquettes which give you a robust flavor, control unwanted flare-ups, and provide even cooking results. This gas grill also features unique heavy duty 5/16 inch stainless steel rod cooking grids with Vari Grid spacing added flexibility, Sure Start continuous spark electronic ignition, convenient lighting tube for ignition backup, and 260 square inch stainless steel warming rack. PGS warrants the stainless steel cooking grids, warming rack, and upper and lower housings are free will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a lifetime. The stainless steel cart, stainless steel side shelves, Flare Guard radiant shields, stainless steel burner assembly and brass valve assembly are warrantied for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase. The electronic Sure Start ignitor, all galvanized steel components and all other parts are warrantied for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. PGS grills also offer a ninety (90) day warranty when used in a non-residential, commercial, apartment or condo common areas. Labor not included.

Things We Love:
PGS Grills has a great reputation for producing well-constructed grills with quality performance. The PGS Legacy series is no exception and it's constructed with high quality, 304 grade stainless steel. I also like the stainless steel "Vari Grid" cooking grids, that feature a variable rod spacing arrangement, which offers flexibility for whatever you're cooking.
The Legacy has high heat output, u-shaped burners with good heat control so you can dial in more precise temperatures. PGS also places their thermometer right above the cooking surface for more accurate grill temperature reading.
One aspect that makes PGS a great value is how they calculate the size of the grill. For example, the Legacy Pacifica grill is a 36-Inch grill, and this is measured from the left side of the cooking grid to the right, and then from front to back. Most other gas grills measure the entire width of the grill, so if a competing brand is 36-Inch there is probably about 32 inches of cooking space. One thing that stands out is while PGS doesn't have a lot of flashy bells and whistles that can fail, they focus on quality and durability.
PGS offers a comprehensive warranty that is one of the best in the gas grill industry. The burners, stainless steel cooking grids and supports are protected by a lifetime warranty. PGS has a long history of producing quality gas grills, and customers who purchase these grills report very few problems. Also, you can take comfort in knowing that PGS is a brand that has been around for many decades and has a reputation for having amazing customer service.
Things To Consider:
As I mentioned, PGS builds a reliable grill that performs well without any major issues. But if you're looking for an innovative grill that will "wow" you with bold features, this grill may not be the best fit. For example, PGS Legacy grills don't have internal or control panel lighting.
Also, the PGS comes with a ceramic Moon Rock flame taming system that controls flareups and creates even heat across the grilling surface, however the ceramic Moon Rocks sit loosely inside the stainless steel rock grates which prevents you from simply flipping over the system towards the burners for easy cleaning. Ceramics are also known to be easily breakable.
