It can reach up to 940 F (500 C) in as little as 15 minutes, so you can make stone-baked, professional-quality 16 Inch pizzas in as little as 60 seconds. The Karu 16 features advanced airflow engineering and a ceramic fiber-insulated stainless steel oven body, as well as a front-mounted digital thermometer. In addition to pizza, the versatile Karu 16 can also cook delicious seared meats, vegetables, breads, and more. Gas burner sold separately.

Yes, you can convert to PROPANE, NG, or use Wood+CharcoalThis is a great oven! It would be much more helpful if these sites would stop referencing "gas" when they mean "propane";) I have the Propane Burner, the Natural Gas Burner, and a few boxes of Ooni's hardwood and chunk charcoal offerings - all 3 fuel options work pretty well - Charcoal+Wood is most authenticate but highest variation in results - the charcoal keeps the base temperature and the wood allows flash temp increases - you can do 600 to 1000 degrees on this setup; Propane runs slightly cooler but more stable, Natural Gas of course cooler than propane due to lower heat content, but no need to change tanks - my experience is 850 degrees on NG, 950 on Propane, 1000 on Wood for short bursts - all of these are higher than the temp you need to make GREAT Pizza;) I find 650ish is a nice spot to avoid incinerating the pizza - but I'm still learning. My point with this review is that if you want Natural Gas, be VERY Careful of these sites that do not seem to understand that "gas" is TWO different things;) Ooni Customer Service is VERY responsive - so contact them and they will help figure it out;) | Was This Helpful? | |
